Taze hava ile oksijeni \u00e7ok azalm\u0131\u015f egzoz gaz\u0131n\u0131n kar\u0131\u015ft\u0131r\u0131larak yanma odas\u0131na g\u00f6nderilmesiyle, yanma odas\u0131 havas\u0131n\u0131n oksijen i\u00e7eri\u011fi seyreltilmi\u015f olur. EGR sistemi, yanma odas\u0131 i\u00e7erisindeki hava yak\u0131t kar\u0131\u015f\u0131m\u0131n\u0131 egzoz gazlar\u0131 ile seyrelterek yanma sonu s\u0131cakl\u0131klar\u0131n\u0131, dolay\u0131s\u0131yla \u00fcretilen NOX miktar\u0131n\u0131 azaltabilmektedir.<\/p>\n<table style=\"width: 20px;height: 20px\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Daha \u00f6nce de belirtildi\u011fi gibi, NOX olu\u015fumu yanma odas\u0131 s\u0131cakl\u0131\u011f\u0131ndan ciddi derecede etkilenmektedir. Bu s\u0131cakl\u0131k, reaksiyon kar\u0131\u015f\u0131m\u0131n\u0131n bir at\u0131k gazla kirletilmesiyle bir \u00f6l\u00e7\u00fcde azalt\u0131labilmektedir. Yanma ile \u00fcretilen \u0131s\u0131n\u0131n bir k\u0131sm\u0131n\u0131n bu at\u0131k gaz\u0131 \u0131s\u0131tmada kullan\u0131lmas\u0131yla, maksimum yanma gaz s\u0131cakl\u0131\u011f\u0131 azalt\u0131l\u0131r. Motor egzoz gazlar\u0131 ger\u00e7ekten inert oldu\u011fundan, bu ama\u00e7 i\u00e7in kullan\u0131labilir.
