Reakt\u00f6r \u00e7\u0131k\u0131\u015f\u0131nda NO<sub>X<\/sub> seviyesi <span style=\"color: #3498db;\"><em>2 g\/kWh<\/em><\/span> seviyelerine kadar d\u00fc\u015fmektedir. Metot, egzoz gaz\u0131 ile amonya\u011f\u0131n kar\u0131\u015ft\u0131r\u0131larak kataliz\u00f6rden ge\u00e7irilmesi esas\u0131na dayanmaktad\u0131r. Bu i\u015flem neticesinde NO<sub>X<\/sub>\u2019 in <span style=\"color: #3498db;\"><em>%90-98<\/em><\/span>\u2019i ayr\u0131\u015ft\u0131r\u0131l\u0131r. Egzoz gazlar\u0131 i\u00e7erisindeki SO2, SO3\u2019e daha sonra suyla bulu\u015ftu\u011funda <span style=\"color: #3498db;\"><em>H<sub>2<\/sub>SO<sub><sup>3<\/sup><\/sub><\/em><\/span> (s\u00fclf\u00fcrozasit) hatta <span style=\"color: #3498db;\"><em>H<sub>2<\/sub>SO<sub>4<\/sub><\/em><\/span>\u2019e (s\u00fclf\u00fcrik asit) d\u00f6n\u00fc\u015f\u00fcr. S\u00fclf\u00fcrik asit SCR sistemin ve egzoz devre elemanlar\u0131n\u0131n h\u0131zla korozyona maruz kalmalar\u0131na neden olur.
