Prior to enclosed space entry, \u2018\u2019<span style=\"color: #3498db;\"><em>Safety First<\/em><\/span>\u2019\u2019 shall be carried out definitely. All of checklists, orders, regulations are requlated to protect the people\u2019s life. Before enclosed space entry, seafarers should be acted by taking procedures into account, and enclosed space entry permit should be confirmed after meeting the conditions by responsible officers and master. All steps must be applied and checked.<\/p>\n<table style=\"width: 20px; height: 20px;\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&#8211; Gas-free test must be carried out<br \/>\n&#8211; Measure the ratio of oxygen<br \/>\n&#8211; If ratio analysis is not as must be, wait for conditions as per the regulations<br \/>\n&#8211; Keep the ventilation process until result of measurements are up to scratch<br \/>\n&#8211; Check and report the all steps<\/p>\n<table style=\"width: 20px; height: 20px;\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Some of the requirements as mentioned and many steps take aim at safety. Innumerable seafarers, surveyors, stevedors and related people have died in enclosed spaces, and IMO focused on new regulations.<\/p>\n<table style=\"width: 20px; height: 20px;\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Enclosed space can define as any confined area where there is restricted ventilation condition and entry or exit. Small openings are difficult to move and restricted ventilation condition allows short term work inside for clean up, maintenance, inspection etc.<\/p>\n<table style=\"width: 20px; height: 20px;\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Air contains <em><span style=\"color: #3498db;\">78% nitrogen<\/span>, <span style=\"color: #3498db;\">21% oxygen<\/span><\/em> and <em><span style=\"color: #3498db;\">1% other gasses<\/span><\/em>. Oxygen ratio shall be tested between <em><span style=\"color: #3498db;\">19.5%<\/span><\/em> to <em><span style=\"color: #3498db;\">23.5%<\/span><\/em> maximum.
